This Internship is available at our Tewkesbury facility within our Industrial Group (starting August/September 2025), which focuses on the design and testing of high-spec Servo valve products, Cartridge Valves, Actuators, Control Systems, Autonomous systems and more. This isnβt work experience; this is a real experience of work, and so youβll be hands-on working with technical experts every day. The content of our year out placements is never the same, but you will be able to enjoy a challenging and rewarding role which will help develop your real-life theoretical and practical engineering skills.
Predominantly based in the Design Engineering department, you will have the opportunity to develop in areas such as:
- Advanced 3D CAD
- Design For Manufacture
- Design For Assembly
- 3D Printing
- Materials
- Engineering maths
- Product Development
Additionally, you will be a hands-on individual and be as comfortable in the lab testing and developing as you are behind the computer.

Experience/Qualifications required:
- Second year Undergraduate on a relevant degree (or equivalent) such as Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Interest in developing a technical career within Engineering.
- Detail driven, with experience in CAD, drafting & GD&T.
- Articulate, both written and verbally.
- Good communication skills and able to interact with all levels.
- Team player, self-motivated, methodical in approach, quick to learn and able to work under pressure and to tight timescales.
- You must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrable experience in practical problem solving.
- You must be able to demonstrate practical workshop skills, either in University projects or in your own outside interests.
