Moog Commercial Aircraft Group in Tewkesbury is seeking a confident and customer-focused Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) to join our Quality Assurance team. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role ideal for someone who thrives on collaboration, problem-solving, and driving quality excellence in a complex aerospace environment.

As a CQE, you will be the voice of the customer within Moog, ensuring satisfaction through compliance with quality requirements and timely resolution of issues. You’ll lead investigations, host audits, and influence cross-functional teams to continuously improve product integrity and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary quality liaison for assigned customer accounts
  • Facilitate customer returns, ensuring timely processing and thorough failure investigations
  • Perform contract reviews and interpret customer flowdown requirements, negotiating exceptions where necessary
  • Host customer audits and manage corrective actions to closure
  • Support on-site customer account reviews and process change approvals
  • Lead investigations into potential product integrity risks
  • Manage and drive corrective actions independently across programmes and customers
  • Contribute to the development of quality engineering tools and resources
Qualifications and Experience
  • Strong background in Quality Assurance, ideally within aerospace
  • Experience in a customer-facing role in a manufacturing or assembly environment
  • Familiarity with AS9100 standards; lead auditor certification is advantageous
  • Working knowledge of zero-defect principles, APQP/PPAP, and quality improvement tools (e.g., 8D, RCCA, DMAIC, Ishikawa)
  • Project management experience is beneficial
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and collaboration skills across time zones and functions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain composure under pressure
