We are now looking for a skilled and motivated Assembler & Tester to join our Assembly & Test (A&T) team working afternoon shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, a hands-on approach, and a passion for high-quality engineering.
As an Assembler & Tester, you will carry out sub-assembly and disassembly of valves, manifolds, and actuators, ensuring that all products meet Moog's world-class quality and performance standards. You'll work closely with engineering, colleagues across A&T, and occasionally customers, contributing to a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Clean new and aftermarket parts/assemblies ahead of build work
- Perform flow-matching operations using Amp Stands
- Carry out wire-locking, labelling, and finishing activities
- Assist engineering, external departments, customers, and A&T colleagues when required
- Train and support new starters within the team
- Work from approved documentation including engineering drawings, worksheets, WIs, ATWs, RTWs, CMMs, EIs, EEIs and other controlled processes
- Accurately update operation sheets and travellers
- Inspect your own work in line with Quality Audit standards
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace in line with 5S
- Assemble/disassemble components using hand tools, gauges, and measurement equipment
- Follow lean manufacturing principles and Moog values
- Meet target standard times and quality standards
- Work safely and promote a safe working environment
- A reasonable standard of secondary education
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to shift patterns and overtime when required
- Strong timekeeping and attendance record
- Positive attitude toward lean tools and continuous improvement (5S, Kaizen)
- Willingness to work in any suitable A&T area and assist with repetitive or large-batch work
- Alignment with Moog's culture, philosophy, and values
