Job Summary
Moog Aircraft Group Wolverhampton is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide effective support to our New Product Introduction team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating and continuously improving new and existing processes, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of business targets and objectives.
Key Responsibilities Include
Collaborate with cross functional team in the APQP process to deliver Manufacturing Engineering input in to PFD, PFMEA and DFMA processes.
Support the fabrication of complex machined parts by providing timely and accurate CNC programs and work instructions from 3D models for various manufacturing processes.
Develop and implement effective manufacturing systems based on best practices.
Liaise with global Manufacturing Engineering community to ensure processes are transferable and scalable.
Provide practical problem-solving support to address process or yield issues.
Establish standard times for each operation, minimizing waste.
Assist in creating, reviewing, and approving gauging, fixtures, and special tooling required for efficient and effective manufacturing of machined and assembled products.
Qualifications:
BSc Degree (vocational, professional, or advanced) or equivalent in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering (desirable).
HNC/HND (vocational, professional, or advanced) or equivalent in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.
Proven expertise in DFM, DFSS, APQP methodologies, Lean methodologies, and Zero Defects.
Demonstrated specific capabilities in CNC programming using 3D CAD/CAM, utilising NX and Team Center software.
