Reporting To: Manager, Quality Engineering
Work Schedule: Onsite – Wolverhampton, GBR | Rotating shift pattern
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract review and dissemination of customer quality requirements into the business.
- Support the appropriate teams from a quality viewpoint and ensure quality requirements are understood and incorporated.
- Manage the management and introduction of new contracts into the company from a quality viewpoint.
- Manage the customer interface on quality related issues.
- Day to day quality engineering responsibilities:
- Part Inspection
- Conformity Inspection
- Defect investigations / root cause analysis / 8D Investigations
- Corrective action / improvement introduction
- Responsibility for day to day Quality Assurance activities such as auditing, quality systems maintenance and improvement, where required.
What You’ll Bring:
- HNC/degree qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Experience working on own initiative without close supervision.
- Experience in problem solving and corrective action implementation.
- Good communication skills for interfacing with departments and customers.
- Driver’s licence and willingness to travel, including overseas travel.
- Competence in the use of measuring techniques and equipment.
- Aerospace experience and understanding of Aerospace Quality Systems is an advantage.
Security Clearance:
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
