An immediate opportunity exists for a Programme Manager within the Military Global Sustainment Sector. The Programme Manager coordinates and supports all activities related to their assigned programmes. The Programme Manager shall serve as the primary communication link between the end customer and key stakeholders within Moog. The Programme Manager advises Business Management of the current status of their programs and potential problem areas on a regular basis and takes appropriate corrective action as required. The Programme Manager will have responsibility for a number of Sustainment Programs which will have a major impact upon the business. Some of these programmes may be existing contracts, while others may be considered as New Product Implementation (NPI) programs for the Sustainment Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, document and manage customer expectations as the ‘voice of the customer’
- Develop and maintain customer intimacy and lead customer interface at multiple levels
- Align sector sales objectives and contractual requirements with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Quality
- Drive performance to plan and achieve schedule, delivery and financial commitments
- Organise and conduct regular program status reviews, team meetings with customers and internally to ensure programme execution
- Take ownership and lead programme risks and issues; create, maintain and deliver action plans to closure
- Responsible for customer order placement and forecasting for future demand for both Spares and Repairs business
Key Skillset / Expertise
- Degree or equivalent, ideally in a Business or Engineering discipline
- Proven ability to lead, organise and influence people through outstanding leadership, communication and facilitation skills
- Proven experience in managing complex Sustainment programs in an aerospace, defence or similar industry
- Excellent listening and persuasive skills to both understand and expedite issues
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience of working within a customer facing organization and ideally in a Military Aerospace MRO environment
- Self‑motivated individual with a high level of interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage external and internal customer relationships under pressure
Security Clearance
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. Please note that in the event that clearance cannot be obtained, you may not be eligible for the role, and/or any offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.
