Schedule: Night Shift (Onsite – Wolverhampton, GBR)

Contract: 18‑month fixed‑term contract

Moog Aircraft Group is looking for an apprentice‑trained, experienced CNC Machinist (Turner/Mill‑Turn) to join the team at our facility based in Wolverhampton. At Moog, we design complex mechanical products that are often bespoke and high‑profile. Our machinists work to exceptionally close tolerance, an essential requirement of the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate multiple CNC machines/processes
  • Perform first‑off inspections and complete necessary quality documentation
  • Carry out own first‑off inspection and check/complete the necessary quality documentation
  • Set up and use machine tools with competence
  • Use precision measurement equipment confidently
Key Experience & Qualifications
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship
  • Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing role, ideally within the aerospace industry
  • Strong knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling
  • Proven skills in a multi‑axis/complex machining environment
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and process improvement techniques
  • Proficiency in using relevant inspection techniques/equipment to achieve drawing tolerances
  • Over 5 years experience on different mill/turn CNC machines (Okuma, Mazak, Lathe, DMG, Matsura, Puma)
Additional Information
  • This role follows a day‑shift pattern and may in the future lead to a night‑shift pattern with overtime as requested.
  • Candidates must be self‑certified and hold a quality stamp after the qualifying period.
  • Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
