The Assembly and Test Team Leader will manage and lead the assembly and test programmes for GS and OE at Moog Aircraft Group in Wolverhampton, UK. The role reports to the Manufacturing Manager and focuses on achieving key performance indicators for production, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with health and safety and quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure daily operations are conducted in compliance with Health & Safety policies and guidelines.
- Recruit, develop, and motivate highly skilled technicians to reach challenging goals.
- Coordinate and allocate team resources to meet all business and customer demands.
- Maintain quality of product in line with the quality management system and processes.
- Oversee resolution of technical/quality problems, logistics, and personnel issues.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to meet delivery targets and support production scheduling.
- Review performance, identify training needs, and drive employee motivation.
Key Skills and Experience
- Experience in continual improvement projects.
- Knowledge of recognised quality management systems.
- Previous team leader experience preferred.
- Understanding of lean principles and assembly processes.
- Strong analytical abilities to coordinate complex manufacturing issues.
Security Clearance
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained. Failure to secure clearance may result in ineligibility or withdrawal of any offer of employment.
