  • Job Summary

Moog Aircraft Group is looking for an apprentice trained, experienced Manual / CNC Grinder to join the team at our facility based in Wolverhampton.

Our Machinists work to exceptionally close tolerance, an essential requirement of the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, set up and run Manual Studer machines S20/RM250 and CNC Studer S33/S31.
  • Machine exotic and hardened materials.
  • Carry out first‑off inspection and complete necessary quality documentation.
  • Perform precision manual land grinding to limits of 0.00005”.
  • Set and run multiple machines and processes.
  • Work nights and overtime when requested.
  • Key Skills and Experience
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
  • Mate grinding experience required.
  • Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing role within the aerospace industry.
  • Good knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and process improvement.
  • Experience using inspection techniques/equipment to achieve drawing tolerance.
  • Security Clearance

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained.

If clearance cannot be obtained, the role may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.
