At Moog Aircraft Group at our facility in Wolverhampton, we are looking to recruit for an experienced Assembly and Test Team Leader to drive activity and manage the team across our Assembly and Test Programmes. To support our Quality, Cost, Delivery and flow initiatives, we are looking to recruit a team leader to achieve critical delivery targets and drive improvements throughout assembly and test.

In this role, you will be reporting into the Manufacturing Manager to drive and achieve key performance indicators for Assembly and Test programs. The role will be supervisory, and you will be responsible to ensure that all direct staff comply with company procedures and processes and managing the manufacturing production employees. Ensure the smooth running of production processes, ensuring that all products are produced to high specifications and deadlines are met to achieve the MPS plan. Review performance and identify training needs whilst driving motivation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the days operations are run in compliance with Health & Safety policies and guidelines
  • Ability to manage, develop, and motivate highly skilled technicians to achieve challenging goals
  • Effectively utilize the strengths and skills of those within the team to ensure all business and customer demands of the production teams are coordinated and effectively achieved
  • Accountable for the quality of product that is produced in line with the quality systems, processes and procedures
  • Oversee cooperation and resolution of technical/quality problems, logistics and personnel issues
  • Working with key stakeholders within the business making sure delivery targets are met
Key Skills and Experience
  • Experience of Continual Improvement projects preferable
  • Understanding of working to a recognized quality management system
  • Previous team leader experience ideal but not essential
  • Understanding of lean principles and how to apply
  • Assembly Experience would be advantageous
  • Must possess strong analytical abilities to co-ordinate and manage the complex issues in Manufacturing processes

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. Please note that in the event that clearance cannot be obtained, you may not be eligible for the role, and/or any offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.
