In this vital role, you will play a key part in our compliance strategy, supporting the Regional Trade Compliance Manager in ensuring adherence to UK, EU, and US trade regulations. Your contributions will help safeguard our operations and ensure seamless business functions.No prior trade compliance experience is required, as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided. However, experience within a regulated industry and a working knowledge of UK Military regulations, Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) would be beneficial.This role is designed with future career growth in mind, offering an exciting opportunity to develop expertise and progress within our dynamic team.**Role Requirements** This role will involve the following activities:* Prepare, monitor, and implement UK export license applications.* Assist with the administration of UK, EU and US licences and agreements, ensuring they remain current with business requirements and supporting information is obtained and retained on file.* Maintain filing systems to manage export records whilst meeting government record retention requirements.* Support facility Government audits with the ECJU ( Export Control Joint Unit)* Obtain, monitor and file ITAR NDAβs to support US authorisations and agreements.* Assist other internal departments with trade compliance matters. Examples may include reviewing export paperwork, assisting with commodity classifications.* Review all military orders received at the facility to ensure compliance and obtain the necessary licences* Provide onsite training for all personnel which includes employee induction and annual refresher training* Perform denied party screening. Advise Tewkesbury personnel on changes to denied party listing which may impact Tewkesbury business practice.* Assign electronic licences to internal IT systems to ensure documentation access rights comply with the relevant export control legislation and authorisations in place.* Assist Moog personnel with foreign travel export concerns and issue laptop and travel guidance authorisations.* Liaise with HR during the recruitment and employment process for foreign and dual national employees to ensure licence coverage is in place.* Assist with supplier and customer questionnaire activities to ensure adequate licence coverage is in place.* Assist with the monitoring and maintenance of the visitor management system ensuring access rights comply with site security and export control requirements.**Qualifications*** The successful candidate must possess a strong attention to detail.* Ability to interface with all departments within the business* Self-motivated and directed, capable of working independently.* Ability to be proactive in recognising and adjusting to shifting priorities* A Willingness to research solutions to trade compliance requirements, identify internal experts and seek out solutions.* Ability to work under pressure to meet timescales and resolve issues.* Good oral and written communication skills.No prior trade compliance experience necessary as on the job training will be provided. Experience within a regulated industry and working knowledge of UK Military / EAR & ITAR legislation would be beneficial.
