Moog is recruiting for an Assembly and Test Technician to come and join our friendly team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for our commercial Aircraft Group in Tewkesbury. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out Assembly and Test tasks on Moog Products. This will include cleaning of parts ready for assembly; building and testing Moog products; carrying out diagnostic tests to verify failure; disassembling products to carry out rework; flow matching operations and wire locking/labelling/finishing techniques.
This is a stamp holder position so we are looking for applications from individuals who can produce work of high quality and progress their own work through to final inspection. The role will require you to work in accordance with approved documentation, so we are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail who is skilled at following instructions.
Work Schedule: Onsite – Tewkesbury, GBR
This position offers a permanent night shift following a 3-month training period. The working hours are as follows:
- Monday and Tuesday working from 8.45pm to 6.15am
- Wednesday working from 9pm to 6.15am
- Thursday working from 9.15pm to 6.30am
Key Skills:
- Previous experience within a similar role in a production environment (Aerospace or equivalent). You’ll need to demonstrate competent use of a range of relevant hand tools, gauges, and measuring equipment.
- Ideally, the successful applicant will have completed an engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent) but we welcome applications from those who have gained this knowledge through considerable work experience.
- The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate diagnostic skills within a previous role and will possess the ability to understand basic Servo valve Operations.
- Ideally, you will have been a stamp holder already in your career, if not able to demonstrate self-inspection of products to a high degree.
- You’ll have worked with approved documentation in a previous role and demonstrated your ability to accurately record data.
- It would be a distinct advantage if you understand 5S principles, if not training will be provided. We’re looking for people who will actively participate to improve their 5S score.
The successful incumbent will be required to pass an eye test.
