Moog Wolverhampton is seeking a proactive and technically adept Quality Engineer to work a rotating shift pattern to provide quality engineering support to the operational manufacturing area of the business. You will play a critical role in assessing risk, ensuring process conformity, and enhancing product quality through hands-on inspection, collaboration, and problem-solving. This is a high-impact position ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, technical depth and cross-functional teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the acceptability of parts and assemblies based on dimensional and visual criteria.
  • Interpret Engineering Drawings and utilize a variety of standard inspection equipment.
  • Lead & coordinate quality engineering activities for the area.
  • Provide clear and concise feedback/results to various engineering functions.
  • Problem Solving: Root cause analysis, immediate corrections, facilitating improvements.
  • Lead & coordinate investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Support risk reduction activities and prove outs associated to method changes.
  • Assist with developing inspection techniques for product conformity.
  • Play an active role in dealing with nonconforming material and Preliminary Review Board.
  • Interface with various digital systems to input & maintain accurate data.
What You Will Bring
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in precision machining.
  • In depth knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • In depth knowledge of aerospace hydraulic actuation components.
  • Practical experience of product inspection techniques, using automated and manual equipment.
  • Be proficient in reading and understanding Engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently across diverse production areas.
  • Experience with Solumina manufacturing execution system.
