Moog Military Aircraft Group Wolverhampton is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Customs Compliance Senior Coordinator to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring that all import activities comply with applicable international trade laws, customs regulations, and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in import regulations, customs documentation, and compliance best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with import regulations, including HMRC, UK Customs, and international trade laws
  • Manage preparation and submission of import documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin)
  • Submit quarterly IPR returns accurately and on time to avoid penalties
  • Maintain accurate records of export transactions and classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
  • Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams for timely clearance of goods
  • Monitor and audit import entries and resolve discrepancies or non-compliance
  • Stay updated on tariff classifications, duty rates, and trade agreements
  • Provide training on import compliance procedures and regulatory changes
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Collaborate across procurement, logistics, contracts, and engineering teams to ensure compliance
  • Deputize for the manager when required

Qualifications:

  • University Degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Level 5 Diploma in World Customs Compliance & Regulations preferred
  • AEO Certified Practitioner desirable
  • Experience in import compliance, customs brokerage, or international logistics
  • Strong knowledge of UK and international import regulations including Incoterms and HTS classification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP preferable)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
