Job Summary
Moog Aircraft Group is looking for an apprentice-trained, experienced Manual / CNC Grinder to join the team at our Wolverhampton facility. We focus on designing complex, often bespoke, high-profile mechanical products. Our Machinists work to exceptionally close tolerances, essential in the aerospace industry.
Responsibilities Include
- Operate and set Manual Studer machines S20/RM250 and CNC machines (Studer S33/S31)
- Machine exotic and hardened materials
- Perform own 1st off inspection and complete quality documentation
- Perform precision manual land grinding to achieve limits of 0.00005\”
- Set and run multiple machines/processes
- Work in 3-shift patterns, with a preference for night shifts
Key Skills and Experience
- Recognised engineering apprenticeship
- Experience with mate grinding
- Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing
- Knowledge of machining techniques and tooling
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and process improvement
- Proficient in inspection techniques/equipment to meet drawing tolerances
The candidate must be self-certified and hold a quality stamp after the qualifying period.
Security Clearance
