Work Schedule: Shift pattern: 2‑Week Rotating AM/PM shifts—AM: Mon‑Thurs 6:00‑2:15pm; Fri 6:15‑11:45am. PM: Mon‑Tues 2:00‑9:15pm; Wed‑Thurs 2:00‑9:30pm; Fri 11:30‑7:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Setup and operate Sliding Head Lathes.
- Engage in daily problem solving and drive manufacturing process enhancements.
- Conduct inspection checks using manual and automated metrology equipment.
- Perform self‑inspections and complete required quality audits for self‑certification stamps.
- Work from approved engineering drawings and inspection plans, accurately recording data.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles in line with Moog’s standards.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on machinery as per company policy.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience setting Sliding Head lathes.
- Recognised apprenticeship in machining or related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work to extremely tight tolerances with a perfectionist approach to quality.
- Proficiency in inspecting components with diverse manual and automated metrology equipment.
- Demonstrated daily problem‑solving skills and initiative.
- Read and interpret manufacturing drawings for complex components in metric and imperial units.
- Understanding of GD&T principles.
- Positive attitude towards lean manufacturing tools including 5S.
