Key Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspection of precision aerospace components using CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines)
- Develop and run CMM programmes (experience with Mitutoyo or Aberlink is essential)
- Inspect parts using a range of manual metrology equipment (micrometers, verniers, height gauges, etc.)
- Ensure all components meet aerospace quality standards and specifications
- Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T
- Accurately record and report inspection results
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in aerospace or precision engineering inspection
- Strong background in CMM programming (Mitutoyo or Aberlink required)
- Competent in using standard inspection and metrology tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tolerances
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and quality focus
- Desirable: experience compiling First Article Inspection (FAI) reports (e.g. AS9102)
