We’re seeking an experienced Senior Program Controls Analyst to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of a major commercial programme. This high-impact position provides expert planning, scheduling, cost control, Earned Value reporting, and governance support, ensuring programme teams work to a robust baseline underpinned by accurate data and strong analytical insight. As a senior member, you will embed consistent controls practices, build capability, and drive data-led decision-making across the programme.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated programme schedules, ensuring robust logic, dependencies, and critical paths.
- Perform schedule analysis, progress measurement, and performance forecasting.
- Conduct detailed cost variance analysis and Earned Value Management assessments.
- Lead the consolidation of schedule, cost, risk, and milestone data into accurate, timely management reporting.
- Maintain and analyse RAID information, highlighting emerging risks and variances early.
- Ensure the programme aligns with organisational controls standards and governance expectations.
- Contribute to the development and rollout of improved controls processes, tools, and templates.
- Demonstrate high standards of professionalism, analytical rigour, and effective stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong background in project/programme controls, planning, PMO, cost engineering, or a related analytical discipline.
- Proficiency with scheduling and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project, Deltek Open Plan).
- Excellent analytical skills, with strong numerical and data-interpretation capability.
- Proven ability to explain controls concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in Earned Value Management.
- Proficiency with Power BI or similar visualisation tools.
- Experience working in complex, engineering, aerospace, or regulated programme environments.
- Professional project management or controls certifications (e.g., APM, PMI, EV-related) are desirable.
