Skills and Competencies
  • Strong consultative sales expertise with the ability to manage complex, enterprise-level sales cycles end-to-end
  • Deep understanding of risk, finance, and lending concepts, including Expected Default models, portfolio management, IFRS 9, stress testing, and model risk management
  • Ability to position sophisticated analytics and modelling solutions as clear, client-specific value propositions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of delivering both executive-level messaging and detailed solution demonstrations
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the credibility to engage senior executives internally and externally
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams
  • High attention to detail with strong forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting discipline
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency
  • Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
Education
  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience required. Business, Economics, Finance, or related disciplines preferred, though other fields will be considered
  • Typically 7+ years of professional experience in B2B sales or client-facing roles within financial services or corporate treasury environments
Responsibilities

This role is responsible for driving the full sales lifecycle for Moody’s Risk, Finance, and Lending solutions, from prospect identification through to deal closure. Other responsibilities include:

  • Partner with Relationship Managers and senior product specialists to identify, target, and develop new sales opportunities
  • Act as a market and product expert during the sales process, positioning Moody’s analytics and modelling capabilities with confidence
  • Assess client needs by developing a deep understanding of their business challenges, regulatory environment, and strategic objectives
  • Identify and introduce additional products and services that expand client value and long-term engagement
  • Provide accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting to sales leadership
  • Coordinate across client service, implementation, product, and strategy teams to ensure seamless delivery and client experience
  • Contribute market insights and feedback to support product quality improvements and new revenue development

This position offers a dynamic work environment, requiring up to 50% travel to engage with clients face-to-face, while also providing the flexibility of hybrid working.

About the Team

The Workflow Specialist team sits at the intersection of sales, product expertise, and client delivery within Moody’s Analytics. Working closely with Relationship Managers, Product Management, and Strategy teams, the group plays a critical role in helping financial institutions and corporates apply advanced risk and finance analytics to real-world challenges. The team is highly collaborative, commercially focused, and trusted by clients to deliver deep domain expertise, tailored solutions, and long-term value across complex regulatory and risk environments.
