Skills and Competencies

  • 5+ years of experience in the sanctions, anti-money laundering, fraud, investigations, export control and/or adjacent regulatory spaces, with deep working knowledge of the domain
  • Strong technical literacy including the ability to read schemas, review queries, and discuss data modeling trade-offs with engineers
  • Understanding of graph data modeling concepts including nodes, edges, properties, ontologies and taxonomies, RDF vs property graphs, and entity resolution
  • Proven track record of translating ambiguous business problems into precise functional and non-functional engineering requirements
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to align senior business sponsors, subject matter experts, and engineering leads around a shared plan
  • Strong project management skills including agile/scrum, backlog hygiene, dependency tracking, and risk management
  • Preferred: 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2+ years on data, platform, or AI/ML products
  • Preferred: Familiarity with adjacent technologies such as vector databases, semantic search, large language model and retrieval-augmented generation architectures, data catalogs, and lineage tools
  • Deep expertise in artificial intelligence, with a track record of implementing advanced AI solutions to drive strategic transformation and operational efficiency. Strong experience using AI tools to lead innovation initiatives. Demonstrated leadership in managing AI-related risks, ensuring ethical governance, and fostering a culture of responsible AI adoption across the organization

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline; backgrounds in international relations, political science, law, economics, area studies, or similar are as relevant to this role as technical degrees, and often more so
  • Equivalent practical experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree

Responsibilities

Leads product management for an enterprise Knowledge Graph platform, connecting data and engineering teams to power analytics, search, and next-generation GenAI applications.

  • Advance Moody's Risk Insights business to build solutions that address new and existing problems across the organization
  • Lead the structured evaluation of Knowledge Graph technologies - defining evaluation criteria, running proofs of concept with engineering, documenting trade-offs, and driving build-vs-buy decisions
  • Source, qualify, and prioritize Knowledge Graph use cases across product sub-teams, maintaining a transparent backlog with clear value hypotheses, success metrics, and prioritization rationale
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into precise functional and non-functional requirements covering ontology scope, data sources, query patterns, latency and scale targets, access controls, and integration points
  • Own the product roadmap for the Knowledge Graph platform, run agile ceremonies, and manage dependencies across data, platform, and application teams to keep delivery on track
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business sponsors, domain experts, data owners, and consuming product teams - communicating progress, trade-offs, and risks clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Define onboarding paths for new use cases, drive platform adoption, and feed learnings back into the roadmap to support continuous improvement

About the Team

Our Risk Insights team is responsible for identifying new ways to leverage Moody's data to solve new and existing problems. Part of this role will include scaling a Knowledge Graph which will form the foundational data infrastructure that unifies and contextualizes information across the organization, powering analytics, search, and next-generation GenAI and retrieval-augmented generation applications.
