Join Moody’s Government, Public and Regulatory Affairs to guide insurance regulatory strategy across EMEA. You will shape policy positions, engage with regulators, and apply AI-driven approaches to improve regulatory workflows. This senior role focuses on risk-aware policy analysis, climate and catastrophe risk considerations, and responsible AI adoption to support business growth. You’ll collaborate across functions to translate complex regulations into practical guidance, driving impact for Moody’s clients and markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead regulatory engagement and policy analysis for Moody’s insurance business across EMEA.
- Monitor regulatory and public policy developments affecting Moody’s, clients, and products.
- Assess business impact of political, regulatory, and market changes and provide strategic insights to senior stakeholders.
- Develop and advocate firm policy positions through direct engagement with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
- Draft comment letters, briefing materials, presentations, and other communications translating regulatory issues into actionable insights.
- Support strategic growth initiatives, including regulatory analyses related to catastrophe risk models, climate risk solutions, and emerging technologies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, government bodies, trade associations, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Government, Public and Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Communications, and business teams for coordinated engagement.
- Identify opportunities to enhance Moody’s visibility and thought leadership among policymakers and regulatory audiences.
Key requirements
- 10+ years in the insurance industry with a focus on public policy, regulation, or regulatory affairs.
- Experience in regulated entities or engaging with government, political, or regulatory stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of insurance regulation across P&C, life, liability, and reinsurance; ability to assess policy impact.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; lead complex analytical projects and draft regulatory submissions.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with regulators, industry associations, multilateral organizations, and external stakeholders.
- Adaptable self-starter with problem-solving skills; able to navigate ambiguity and deliver in fast-paced environments.
- Experience collaborating across legal, compliance, risk, communications, and business teams in a global matrix.
- Proficiency with AI concepts; hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and improve efficiency; track record implementing AI-powered solutions; awareness of AI risk management and responsible AI use.
- Education in related fields; advanced degree, legal qualification, or professional certification preferred.
