Overview
In this role you will be the subject-matter expert for Moody’s Energy & Resources practice, helping clients in energy, utilities, and related sectors leverage data, analytics, and AI to improve risk management and strategic decision-making. You will act as a trusted advisor, translating complex market, regulatory, and sustainability concepts into business value while collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape go-to-market strategies. The position combines client-facing leadership with industry thought leadership and solution enablement. Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor during sales cycles for Energy & Resources clients
- Align Moody’s data, analytics, and AI capabilities with energy market and risk use cases
- Demonstrate how Moody’s solutions strengthen counterparty risk, market analysis, and portfolio risk
- Lead workshops and POCs by applying industry best practices in Energy & Resources
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams on GTM strategies and market outreach
- Lead strategic discussions with customers and industry stakeholders on third-party risk and transition challenges
- Guide customers in applying Moody’s solutions to assess counterparties and monitor emerging threats
- Provide internal enablement on energy sector workflows and market trends
- Support and run industry thought leadership events and regional activities
Key requirements
- Deep subject matter expertise in Energy & Utilities (electricity generation, transmission, distribution, B2B & Water)
- Experience managing operational & third-party risk across the Energy & Resources value chain
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear business value for energy clients
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic and analytical mindset with ability to identify market trends and transition risks
- Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting discovery, solution design, and complex sales
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies
