Skills and Competencies

  • 5–8 years of experience in strategy, customer analytics, pricing, or business intelligence, ideally within the banking industry or a technology-enabled data/analytics environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently as an individual contributor — able to take a loosely defined business question and structure it into a clear analysis and recommendation.
  • Strong grounding in customer and market analytics, with the versatility to move fluidly across pricing strategy, execution monitoring, or forward-looking strategic work as priorities shift.
  • Working knowledge of the global commercial banking industry — Commercial Lending, Anti-Financial Crime, Enterprise Risk.
  • Genuine curiosity about emerging market and technology trends and how they translate into commercial opportunity. Quick learner.
  • Comfortable presenting analysis and recommendations to cross-functional and senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in at least one BI or data-analytics tool (Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or equivalent) is required; SQL or Python is a plus.
  • MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and use of AI for automation are a minimum expectation.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for generating reports and building, maintaining, and monitoring dashboards is preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or postgraduate degree from a well-regarded program strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own strategy formulation, customer analytics, and market intelligence for Banking, adapting across execution and cross-team priorities as a senior individual contributor.
  • Drive customer and market analytics, including market assessment, CAM/ TAM, investment cases and related strategic analysis as needed.
  • Own execution monitoring and process governance for key strategic initiatives, including review cadences and coordination with central strategy and product/domain strategy teams, where required.
  • Support strategy formulation and business planning, bringing external trends, emerging technology perspectives, and regional ground-truth insights into the team's thinking.
  • Lead independent market research — spotlights, trend analysis, and case studies — to support broader strategic decisions.
  • Build scalable, reusable analytical capability (frameworks, models, dashboards) that reduces dependency on any single contributor.
  • Partner on venture and cross-team initiatives as a flexible senior resource.
