The Role
Do you have experience in civil groundwork and operating plant machinery? Are you confident working outdoors as part of a skilled, hands-on team? Moody Sewage is looking for a Ground Worker to support our installation team in Uckfield. You’ll help deliver a range of tasks from digging and concrete works to pipe installation and site set-up. Working closely with the Installation team leader, you’ll play a key role in keeping each job safe, efficient and completed to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with excavations (machine and hand-dig), pipe laying and concrete works.
- Operate small plant machinery (e.g., diggers, compactors, mixers).
- Support basic electrical and mechanical tasks under guidance.
- Handle sewage and water systems with safety and care.
- Maintain tools, equipment and vehicles in good condition.
- Follow site health and safety procedures at all times.
- Join toolbox talks and briefings, raising any risks you notice.
