Moody Meadows is an established tourism destination business, based on the A467 between Aberaeron and New Quay. We offer camping, accommodation, a restaurant, farm shop, children’s activities and a wedding and event barn and are open 365 days per year and also attract much local trade.
We are looking for a creative, organised and enthusiastic Marketing & Events Coordinator to join the team and support the continued growth of Moody Meadows. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering our marketing activity, helping to increase brand awareness, engage customers and support the success of events and experiences across the business.
Working closely with the General Manager and wider management team, you will contribute to the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, create engaging content, manage social media channels and assist with the promotion and delivery of events.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about marketing and events, have a flair for content creation and enjoy working in a varied, hands-on role within a growing business.
Key Responsibilities- Marketing & Content
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns across all areas of the business.
- Play an active role in developing and strengthening the Moody Meadows brand, ensuring all marketing content, campaigns and communications consistently reflect the business’s values, vision and unique customer experience.
- Create, schedule and manage engaging content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram & TikTok.
- Produce high-quality written content in both Welsh and English for social media, email marketing, website updates, blogs and promotional materials.
- Support the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, customer engagement and bookings.
- Coordinate website content updates and work with external providers to ensure content remains current and optimised.
- Assist with SEO, paid advertising, email marketing and other digital marketing initiatives.
- Develop marketing materials including flyers, posters, brochures, signage and digital adverts in line with brand guidelines.
- Liaise with external agencies, designers, photographers and suppliers to deliver marketing projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, social media influencers and content creators to increase brand visibility and engagement.
- Write factual but compelling entries for various business awards and be willing to attend award ceremonies where short-listed.
- Social Media & Communications
- Manage and grow the company’s social media presence.
- Keep up to date with the latest social media trends and identify opportunities to increase engagement and reach.
- Respond to customer enquiries, comments and messages in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain brand consistency across all marketing channels and communications.
- Events & Promotions
- Support the planning, promotion and delivery of events across the business.
- Coordinate event marketing campaigns to maximise attendance and customer engagement.
- Assist with event logistics, supplier liaison, booking management and on-site event support.
- Capture content during events for use across social media and future marketing campaigns.
- Conduct post-event reviews and evaluate performance against objectives.
- Reporting & Administration
- Monitor and analyse marketing campaign performance using relevant analytics tools.
- Produce regular reports on campaign effectiveness, engagement levels and return on investment.
- Maintain marketing databases, customer records and mailing lists in line with GDPR requirements.
- Assist with budgeting and tracking marketing expenditure where required.
- Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activity and best practice.
- General Duties
- Provide support to other areas of the business when required, including reception and customer-facing activities.
- Contribute positively to the wider team and support the delivery of an exceptional customer experience.
- Essential
- Degree, qualification or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a marketing role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Welsh and English.
- Experience managing social media platforms for business purposes.
- Experience editing short-form video content for Reels and TikTok.
- Strong content creation and copywriting skills.
- Experience using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Self-motivated, proactive and willing to take ownership of projects.
- Desirable
- Experience in digital marketing, including SEO, paid advertising and email marketing.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics and social media insights tools such as Meta Business Suite.
- Photography and videography skills, including content creation for social media.
- Experience supporting or coordinating events.
- Experience working within tourism, hospitality, leisure or visitor attractions.
- Creative thinker with a strong visual eye for content.
- Confident, outgoing and comfortable engaging with customers and staff on-site.
