About the Role

The Web and Digital Experience Lead owns Moodle’s web ecosystem as a core growth channel, responsible for its strategy, performance, and continuous optimisation. This role ensures the website delivers high-performing, end-to-end user experiences that support campaign effectiveness, drive conversion, and scale with the business. Acting as the bridge between marketing and development, you will translate strategy into execution while maintaining strong technical oversight and the ability to deliver lightweight front-end changes directly.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and maintain a prioritised web roadmap aligned to marketing and business goals, balancing campaign needs, optimisation opportunities, and foundational improvements.
  • Own end-to-end user journeys from entry point through conversion, identifying friction and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and execute a continuous optimisation and experimentation roadmap including A/B testing, landing page improvements, and conversion flows.
  • Partner with demand generation and solutions marketing to translate campaign strategy into effective, high-performing web experiences.
  • Define and track web success metrics beyond traffic, including conversion performance, engagement quality, and contribution to pipeline.
  • Monitor and analyse web analytics KPIs, translating data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Act as a steward of information architecture, UX consistency, accessibility, and performance across all web properties.
  • Execute light front-end changes independently (content updates, layout adjustments, basic styling, simple scripts) to reduce reliance on external agencies.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations to ensure seamless integration between the website and CRM/marketing systems including HubSpot.
  • Manage and evaluate external web development agencies, leading the transition to more scalable, in-house processes.
  • Report on website and digital experience performance, linking insights to business outcomes.

We’d love to meet you especially if you can tell us about your:

  • Demonstrated experience owning and optimising website performance and digital user journeys.
  • Strong understanding of CRO, UX principles, and user journey design.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and reporting platforms.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with ability to make front-end updates confidently.
  • Experience managing web roadmaps and prioritising across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working with HubSpot and marketing operations teams.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles integrated into broader digital strategy.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • High levels of autonomy, ownership, and accountability.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS or EdTech (desirable).
