The Role
We’re looking for an inspiring leader to guide our growing team of FinCrime, Fraud & Disputes Change Partners at Monzo. In this role, you’ll help drive a range of change activity, making sure that we protect our customers and stop financial crime on our platforms.
What you’ll be working on:
- Guiding and supporting a team of Change Partners, while also taking the lead on delivering your own initiatives.
- Working closely with a range of stakeholders including Operations, Risk Control Owners, and Product Squads, to manage workloads and ensure key milestones are met.
- Representing your team in forums, sharing progress and addressing any risks or issues transparently.
- Collaborating with the FinCrime Leadership Team and Senior Manager – FinCrime, Fraud & Disputes Change to implement and embed changes.
- Adapting quickly to changing priorities and managing competing demands effectively.
- Championing the embedment of a continuous improvement culture across the FinCrime Collective.
- Supporting the development of your people, maintaining a high-performing, motivated team while demonstrating Monzo’s values.
You’ll play a key role by:
- Managing workloads and prioritising tasks for your team.
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensuring that the team is fully versed in Ops readiness activities and how to deploy change effectively.
- Working with Ops Leadership and Product Squads to ensure changes are understood and approved before launch.
- Collaborating with Risk & Compliance to assess the impact of regulatory changes.
- Working with colleagues in similar roles in other Collectives to share and develop best practices.
- Providing regular updates in FinCrime Collective forums and maintaining open communication with stakeholders.
- Leading regular team meetings and 1:1s to keep your team engaged and on track.
- Mentoring and coaching your team to support their development.

- You’ve got a hands-on attitude with a willingness to support colleagues on various tasks.

- You are familiar with supporting the launch of new products or large campaigns.
- You’re a confident communicator with senior stakeholders across various domains.
- You’ve got the ability to help design excellent operational processes.
- You have previous experience in Financial Crime is desirable but not essential.
