We’re on a mission to make money work for everyone. We’re waving goodbye to the complicated and confusing ways of traditional banking. After starting as a prepaid card, our product offering has grown a lot in the last 10 years in the UK. As well as personal and business bank accounts, we offer joint accounts, accounts for 16‑17 year olds, a free kids account and credit cards in the UK, with more exciting things to come beyond. Our UK customers can also save, invest and combine their pensions with us. With our hot coral cards and get-paid-early feature, combined with financial education on social media and our award-winning customer service, we have a long history of creating magical moments for our customers! We’re not about selling products – we want to solve problems and change lives through Monzo.

Our Procurement team is looking for a strategic, commercially minded Procurement Manager to take ownership of our customer operations and marketing spend categories – covering areas such as outsourced customer support and core marketing services – and play a central role in driving Monzo’s global growth. You’ll lead the development of category strategies that unlock value, improve commercial outcomes, and proactively manage risk as we expand into new markets. You’ll join a high-performing team that partners closely with the business to deliver meaningful, lasting impact.

Working across a broad portfolio of initiatives – including our international expansion – you’ll shape how Monzo engages with suppliers and identify opportunities to drive impact and value that directly support our strategic priorities. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you’ll set category strategy and lead sourcing and contracting activity, working closely with stakeholders to influence commercial decisions and support change across the business. As a trusted business partner, you’ll guide teams through key commercial choices to ensure procurement strategies directly support Monzo’s priorities and enable effective, scalable growth.

You’ll play a key role by:
  • Identifying and leading critical category and procurement initiatives that advance Monzo’s strategic goals and support our growth.
  • Developing strong relationships with internal business partners to ensure category and procurement strategies align with Monzo’s long‑term objectives.
  • Engaging effectively with suppliers throughout sourcing and contracting processes to deliver commercial outcomes that support our strategic priorities.
  • Partnering with teams across the business to achieve optimal commercial outcomes while maintaining expected standards of quality, service, and safety.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and onboarding the right third‑party partners to enable Monzo’s growth and operational resilience.
  • Serving as an expert in procurement and commercial strategy, providing guidance that supports informed, effective, and scalable decision‑making.
  • Collaborating closely with Legal, Compliance and our wider collectives to facilitate growth initiatives and ensure procurement enables scalable solutions.

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Bring strong procurement expertise, with experience developing and delivering effective category strategies.
  • Have subject matter expertise in business process outsourcing (BPO) – particularly customer support and operational services – as well as marketing services, and can translate this into well‑informed commercial decisions.
  • Have a proven track record of partnering with stakeholders to drive meaningful, measurable commercial value.
  • Are confident in influencing senior stakeholders and guiding teams through complex commercial decisions.
  • Thrive in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments where priorities evolve and impact matters.
  • Are comfortable owning initiatives end‑to‑end – from shaping strategy through to sourcing and contracting.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively across functions to deliver solutions that support business priorities and scalable growth.

What’s In It For You:

  • £50,200 ‑ £65,000 + share options.
  • This role can be based in our London or Cardiff office, or distributed working within the UK (with ad hoc meetings in London).
  • We offer flexible working hours and trust you to work enough hours to do your job well, and at times that suit you and your team.
  • £1,000 learning budget each year to use on books, training courses and conferences.
  • We will set you up to work from home; all employees are given Macbooks and for fully remote workers we will provide extra support for your work‑from‑home setup.
  • Plus lots more!

The application journey has 3 key steps:
