Act as a trusted adviser and partner to the Pensions & Investments teams, helping build products and customer journeys while meeting legal and regulatory requirements.
Advise on the development of the pensions and investments offering, including expanding assets and providing drawâdown options.
Support the teams in managing thirdâparty service providers such as pension trustees, administrators and custodians.
Respond to regulatory changes and work with Compliance to ensure compliance.
Collaborate with Risk and Control to identify and manage legal and regulatory risks.
Prioritise and operate with highest impact across pensions and investments activities.
Develop and implement processes and procedures that increase efficiency and scalability of legal advice.
Provide training, share insights and educate others on pensions and investments matters.
Manage relationships with external counsel, optimise legal spend and obtain best value.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience advising on personal pensions and/or retail investment platforms with at least 5 years in a relevant role.
- Strong technical skills and deep understanding of regulatory and tax issues for pensions and investments; experience in private practice and ideally inâhouse at a financial institution or fintech.
- Teamâplayer, collaborative, goalâfocused, and impactâdriven.
- Strategic thinker, strong communicator, problemâsolver who balances business and risk perspectives.
- Willingness to handle a wide range of legal issues proactively and costâeffectively.
- Comfortable operating at all levels, including executive, and liaising with stakeholders.
