EU Payroll Associate – Monzo Bank
Location: London or Remote UK | Salary: £44,000 – £50,000 + share options
About the role
Monzo is expanding into the EU and we need a payroll associate with EU payroll experience to lead our payroll processes across Ireland, Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Portugal and new EU countries.
Key responsibilities
- Work with Tax, Legal and People teams to launch new EU payrolls.
- Compile and reconcile monthly EU payrolls.
- Answer general payroll queries for EU‑based Monzonauts.
- Monitor payroll processes to minimise errors and provide technical expertise.
- Act as first point of contact with EU payroll providers.
- Work closely with POps and People Collective teams to deliver accurate and timely data submissions.
Required skills and experience
- End‑to‑end payroll experience in Spain or Italy at a minimum.
- Knowledge of EU payroll legislation and best practice.
- High accuracy, autonomy and strong attention to detail.
- Highly organised with ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience setting up new payrolls and benefits.
