This is an opportunity to influence how we manage change, disputes and performance at scale, in a fast-growing fintech environment. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li 34,000 - 46,000 salary range /li li Incentive awards tied to performance /li li Flexible working hours /li li Learning budget per year /li li Macbooks provided /li li Home-working setup support for remote workers /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Provide specialist ER guidance on complex and high‑risk matters to managers and People Partners across UK and EU locations /li li Adapt ER advice to different jurisdictions, local laws, regulatory requirements and cultures /li li Independently handle complex issues across performance, conduct, grievances, absence and change, even when the answer isn’t obvious /li li Coach managers to own decisions while ensuring proper escalation and accountability /li li Act as escalation point for more ambiguous cases and mentor less experienced ER colleagues /li li Support employment disputes including ACAS Early Conciliation and Employment Tribunal claims, coordinating with Legal and external counsel /li li Maintain case management standards with confidentiality and data quality, documenting ER matters accurately /li li Use ER and People data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations /li li Contribute to designing and refining People policies, processes and ER frameworks across jurisdictions /li li Design and deliver training and knowledge-sharing to build manager confidence in handling people matters /li li Stay abreast of employment law and ER practice globally (notably Spain) and assess implications for Monzo /li li Lead and contribute to ER and People Collective projects to simplify and strengthen our ER approach /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Experienced ER specialist with practical knowledge of employment law and ER best practice /li li Experience supporting ACAS Early Conciliation and/or Employment Tribunal claims /li li Experience in a global or multi‑jurisdictional ER environment /li li Ability to challenge, influence and build trusted relationships with managers and senior stakeholders /li li Enjoys coaching and developing others to build confidence and judgement /li li Proactive, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to own problems and implement solutions /li li Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities /li li Proficient using data to identify trends and drive improvements /li li Committed to fair, respectful people experiences especially in difficult situations /li li Willingness to seek specialist local advice when needed /li li Desirable CIPD or related HR qualification /li li Experience designing or implementing ER policies/frameworks /li li Ability to work independently in a distributed, remote-friendly setup /li /ul ul li Empathy /li li Diplomacy /li li Coaching and mentoring /li li Case management systems /li li Data analysis and interpretation of ER metrics /li li Policy design and documentation /li /ul
