We're hybrid, spending 2 days a week in the office. We build tools that help people save money. Through MoneySuperMarket, MoneySavingExpert, Quidco, and our B2B partnerships, we support over 24 million people every month and help UK households save billions each year. It’s something we genuinely care about, and it shows in how we build our tech.
Our products are built by small, friendly, highly collaborative teams of engineers, designers and product managers. We pair and mob when it makes sense, write tests, automate as much as we can, and ship to production multiple times a day through well‑oiled CI/CD pipelines. We like simple solutions, fast feedback, and learning together.
The role involves joining our Platform Engineering team, which empowers our engineers. You’ll help shape and evolve our internal platform, focusing on developer tooling and developer experience. Your work will make life easier for hundreds of engineers, helping teams move faster, safer, and with more confidence.
What you’ll be working on:
- Building and evolving internal platform capabilities using infrastructure as code
- Creating and maintaining tools that support the full software development lifecycle
- Tools we use include GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Cortex, ReTool, Datadog
- Developing shared, agentic engineering capabilities that help teams ship customer value faster
- Building serverless tooling and guardrails that give teams freedom without chaos
- Improving our build, test, deploy and monitoring setup — always looking for better ways
- Helping keep our AWS environments secure, observable and reliable
- Spotting opportunities to improve things through automation, documentation, or better ways of working
- Challenging assumptions (including our own) and raising the bar on how good our platform can be
What we’re looking for:
- Solid experience with infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform)
- Someone who really cares about DevOps and developer experience
- You focus on solving the right problems, not just writing code for the sake of it
- Strong understanding of platform engineering and how product teams actually ship software
- You think about architecture, scalability, and reliability as part of everyday engineering
Bonus points if you’ve:
- Written production software in TypeScript
- Picked up an AWS certification
- Worked across other IT areas (networking, firewalls, identity, directories)
- Invested in test automation and quality from the start
- Owned systems and cared deeply about their performance and uptime
- Helped mentor or support more junior engineers
- Enjoy explaining technical ideas clearly — and listening to feedback too
Most importantly:
- You enjoy learning
- You want your work to have real impact
- You like collaborating with people who care about what they build
We’re big on inclusion and flexibility. If you need adjustments at any stage — application, interview, or beyond — just let us know and we’ll work with you. We’re proud to be an inclusive, anti‑racist and equal opportunity employer. We welcome people from all backgrounds and encourage applications from women and Black, Asian and ethnic minority candidates as we continue to build teams that better reflect the communities we serve.
If helping millions of people save money and building great developer experiences sounds like your thing, we’d love to hear from you.
