MoneySuperMarket is recruiting an experienced SEO Manager to join our wider organic marketing team, supporting the continued growth of our organic visibility across search platforms.
What You Will Be Doing
- You’ll work closely with the SEO Lead to deliver against budgeted performance and wider business objectives, owning strategy while remaining close to execution.
- This is a highly collaborative role, spanning content, digital PR, data, product and commercial teams, with responsibility for identifying opportunities, shaping initiatives, and ensuring they land effectively.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Scoping, developing and implementing content-led and product-led SEO initiatives, from insight through to delivery.
- Using first- and third-party data to identify, prioritise and size commercial organic opportunities.
- Partnering with the Content team to inform what content should be updated, created or iterated, and why - managing the full content lifecycle from ideation to optimisation.
- Working closely with PR teams and external digital PR agencies to assess our organic and off-site position versus competitors, identify link and citation gaps, shape campaigns that support backlink growth, brand mentions and AI search visibility, and manage community engagement.
- Leading and contributing to AI search experimentation, including testing on-page and off-page factors that influence visibility in AI-driven search experiences.
- Collaborating with Data teams to request and define datasets that enhance content performance, support PR narratives, and improve reporting.
- Working with Product and Engineering to influence and help deliver on-page features and enhancements that improve organic performance.
- Partnering with Commercial teams to share organic performance, explain drivers of change, and align on wider macro or market factors impacting results.
- Supporting relationships with external commercial partners where organic performance is a shared lever.
- Owning regular performance reporting and trade updates, ensuring stakeholders understand impact, progress and opportunity.
- Championing SEO best practice through knowledge sharing, training and evangelism across the business.
- Staying up to date with SEO, digital PR and search trends, adopting new technologies and approaches where they provide a competitive edge.

What We Look For
- Tooling and platform experience: You’ll be comfortable using a broad SEO and analytics toolset to inform decisions and measure impact. Experience with the following is expected or beneficial:
- Search and analytics: Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA), Tableau
- SEO and competitive intelligence: Ahrefs, SimilarWeb, SEO Clarity
- Technical SEO: Screaming Frog, Lumar
- Content and trends: Google Trends, Contentful or similar CMS
- You don’t need to be an expert in every tool, but you should be confident selecting the right ones to answer commercial and performance questions.
About You
- Proven experience delivering meaningful organic growth in large or complex digital environments, ideally within the UK or European markets.
- Strong understanding of all core elements of SEO, including on-page, off-page, technical, content and strategy.
- Comfortable operating at both a strategic and executional level, able to move from insight to action.
- Data-led and commercially minded, able to build credible plans backed by evidence and clear prioritisation.
- Experience collaborating with PR teams and agencies to drive off-site performance. Hands-on digital PR experience is favourable.
- Experience working with product and engineering teams, including shaping requirements and justifying SEO-driven initiatives.
- Experience working with data teams to improve reporting, datasets or insight generation.
- Awareness of AI-driven search developments, with experience monitoring impact and actively testing approaches.
- Some light technical SEO knowledge, such as crawling, rendering and indexing, is helpful, though this is not a deeply technical role.
- Knowledge of insurance or financial services is favourable but not essential.
- In-house SEO experience is preferred but not essential.
