THE ROLE
We are looking for a PMO Analyst to establish and operate a fit-for-purpose Project Management Office (PMO) within a fast-growing, regulated fintech environment. This is a greenfield role with real ownership. You will design and implement PMO practices, governance and tooling, while actively supporting live programmes already in flight. The role sits at the centre of the organisation, ensuring delivery is well governed, coordinated and transparent without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Establish and embed core PMO practices, processes and governance across the organisation.
- Create and maintain clear portfolio visibility, including programme status, risks, dependencies and resource allocation.
- Support live programmes by managing RAID logs, tracking actions and improving delivery discipline.
- Implement consistent reporting frameworks, ensuring timely and accurate updates across stakeholders.
- Define and maintain governance cadences, including forums, reporting cycles and decision-making structures.
- Develop and manage a rolling resource and capacity view to support prioritisation and planning decisions.
- Introduce and optimise PMO tooling to support delivery, reporting and collaboration.
- Work closely with programme and delivery leads to identify risks, resolve issues and maintain delivery momentum.
- Balance structure with pragmatism, ensuring PMO enables delivery rather than slows it down.
- Continuously identify gaps and opportunities to improve delivery effectiveness and organisational coordination.
WE LOOK FOR PEOPLE WITH
- Experience in PMO, programme support, project coordination or delivery governance roles.
- Experience working within fintech, financial services or other regulated environments.
- Experience operating in matrixed organisations, ideally within start-up or scaling technology businesses.
- Strong capability with PMO and delivery tools such as Jira, SharePoint or Smartsheet.
- Experience establishing or evolving PMO practices, frameworks or governance models.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and programmes simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across senior, operational and client stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity, influencing without authority and operating at pace in a growing organisation.
- Focus on enabling delivery, not just enforcing process, and bring a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
