THE ROLE

We are looking for a Finance Manager to help build and scale the finance capability supporting a fast-growing Banking Platform-as-a-Service business. This is a broad and commercially focused role that combines financial control, reporting and governance with business partnering and commercial finance. Reporting to the CFO, you will take ownership of month-end close, financial reporting, forecasting and analysis, whilst working closely with senior stakeholders across Sales, Product, Technology and Operations to support decision-making and business performance. This is an opportunity to join a scaling technology business at a pivotal stage of growth, where you will play a key role in building finance processes, improving systems and helping establish the foundations of a standalone finance function.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Own the month-end close process, ensuring accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting.
  • Establish robust financial controls, policies and governance frameworks that support business growth.
  • Deliver high-quality management reporting, forecasts and financial analysis to support decision-making across the organisation.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Sales, Product, Technology and Operations to provide commercial insight and challenge.
  • Support pricing, profitability and commercial contract decisions through detailed financial modelling and analysis.
  • Provide clear visibility of business performance, identifying risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Drive finance systems enhancements, automation initiatives and process improvements to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Support vendor management and third-party contract analysis from a commercial and financial perspective.
  • Build reliable forecasting processes and strengthen financial planning capabilities.
  • Contribute to the development of a scalable finance operating model capable of supporting future growth.

WE LOOK FOR PEOPLE WITH

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 3+ years post-qualification experience.
  • Strong experience within B2B SaaS, software or technology businesses.
  • Proven experience across controllership, financial reporting, month-end close and finance governance.
  • Demonstrable commercial finance and business partnering experience, supporting senior stakeholders with meaningful financial insight.
  • Experience influencing commercial decisions relating to pricing, profitability, investment or contract negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, forecasting and management reporting.
  • Experience improving finance processes, systems and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the credibility to challenge constructively and influence senior decision-makers.
  • Experience working within high-growth, fast-paced or scaling organisations is highly desirable.

You demonstrate strong commercial acumen alongside technical finance expertise. You are comfortable operating in ambiguity, enjoy building processes and capability from the ground up, and see finance as a strategic business partner rather than a purely reporting function.
