We're looking for someone who thinks in formats, not just footage. This isn't a traditional editing role. You're not cutting long-form and trimming it down - you're building content that's native to the platform it lives on. You understand the difference between a TikTok and a Reel, between a story and a post, and you know how to make something feel right for where it's going to land. You'll be working across a range of fast-moving projects - jumping between brands, formats and briefs - and you'll bring the technical skill and creative eye to elevate raw content into something worth stopping for.

What you'll own:

  • Editing and delivering social-first content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and beyond
  • Working across multiple client projects simultaneously, managing your time and output without losing quality
  • Taking raw footage and assets and shaping them into platform-native edits - not just cuts, but considered pieces
  • Staying close to editing trends, formats and platform updates so our content always feels current
  • Collaborating with the wider Monty team on briefs, feedback rounds and delivery

Who are Monty?

We're an award-winning social and creative agency making impact and real results happen with the world's biggest brands and boldest changemakers. Our work spans hospitality, entertainment, music, culture, live, charities and NGOs - and everything in between. Everyone here works closely with the brands we represent.

Day rate: £200–£350 (freelance/contract). This role is open to 2–3 days a week on an ongoing basis. If the fit is right, we'll make it work.

What we're looking for:

  • Native fluency in CapCut and Premiere Pro - these are your daily tools, not things you're learning on the job
  • A sharp eye for what makes content stop the scroll - pacing, sound, captions, transitions, the lot
  • Understanding of platform specs and how to optimise edits for each channel
  • Someone who can take a brief and run with it, but also knows when to ask the right question
  • Organised and reliable - you're juggling multiple streams and nothing slips

Nice to have:

  • Photoshop experience for thumbnail and asset creation
  • Motion graphics or basic animation skills
  • An interest in the creative and strategic side of social, not just the edit

Sound like you? Drop us a line at hello@wearemonty.com with your CV and an example of a social moment you think a brand nailed - and why.

Life at Monty:

  • Flexible working - we trust you to manage your time
  • Fridays are work from home
  • Technology budget - the tools you need, sorted
  • Local discounts - perks of the neighbourhood
  • Regular lunch clubs and after work socials
  • Invites to events plus up-skilling and personal development built in
  • Wellbeing support and an open culture around it
  • Dog-friendly office
