Your patients have usually tried everything else. By the time they reach Montu UK, most have been through years of treatment that has not worked. You will be prescribing cannabis-based medicines to people for whom this is often a last resort, and for many of them it changes their quality of life substantially. That is not a line. It is the reason the right pharmacist wants this job.
What will you be doing?
- Clinically review and prescribe CBMPs
- Manage a complex patient caseload
- Support the dispensary team with clinical queries
- Contribute to education across patients and staff
- Work within a multidisciplinary clinical team
- Maintain accurate patient records in line with GPhC standards
What you need
- GPhC registered pharmacist with a current Independent Prescriber qualification
- At least two years of prescribing experience
- Experience in a clinical setting
- Genuine interest in patient outcomes, not just the subject matter
- Comfortable working at pace in an environment that is still evolving
- CBPM knowledge is not required, we will train you properly
The honest bit
Montu UK moves fast and things change. Processes are being built and improved all the time. If you need everything mapped out before you can start, this will frustrate you. If you thrive in a place that is growing and you want to help shape how it works, you will find a lot of room to do that here. We are not looking for people who think prescribing cannabis sounds interesting. We are looking for people who care about the patient on the other end of the consultation, who will take a complex case seriously, and who want their work to matter.
This is not for you if
- You want a stable, slow-moving clinical environment.
- You are drawn to this because it sounds progressive rather than because patient outcomes drive you.
- You need full process clarity before you can be effective.
- You are looking to coast on an IP qualification without continuing to develop.
What you get
- A clinical role in a genuinely emerging field with real career development
- Full CBPM training provided, you do not need to come in knowing this
- A multidisciplinary team that takes the clinical work seriously
- Hybrid working with a committed London base
- The chance to be part of something that is still being built
What we offer
- Generous Leave: 25 days holiday (rising to 27 after year one and 30 after year two) + 8 bank holidays
- Pension Matching: Up to 5% employer matching contributions
- Private Healthcare Scheme
- Flexibility and Wellness: Work-from-home options, cycle-to-work scheme, and more
