You will be responsible for supervising and managing the dispensing of controlled drug prescriptions for medicinal cannabis, ensuring compliance with stringent regulations, and delivering outstanding patient care. This role requires a detail-oriented, self‑motivated individual who is committed to excellence in pharmacy operations.
What will you be doing?
- Clinically check prescriptions for Controlled drug prescriptions for medicinal cannabis.
- Ensure timely availability and dispatch of medicines for patients.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements for ordering, receiving, storing, and dispensing medicines.
- Maintain accurate records in line with GPhC standards.
- Provide patient counselling on the safe use of medicines, including specialised equipment.
- Offer guidance to prescribers to minimise supply disruptions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure safe and compliant supply chains.
- Act as the Responsible Pharmacist, maintaining security and supervising pharmacy staff.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to manage safe prescribing practices.
- Maintain electronic health records and implement regulatory changes.
- Support governance and operational teams to ensure GPhC and regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to the efficient running of pharmacy services through stock monitoring and audits.
What do you need?
- UK-qualified, registered Pharmacist with a valid GPhC number.
- CPD-accredited medical cannabis education preferred (training provided if necessary).
- Minimum of 2 years post‑qualification experience.
