We’re seeking an experienced and hands-on behavioural scientist to lead the application of behavioural insights across Montu UK. As our Behavioural Insights Lead/Principal, you’ll be the organisation’s subject matter expert - designing, testing, and implementing evidence-based interventions that improve how patients engage with our clinicians, navigate registration, manage prescriptions, and adhere to treatment plans. You’ll operate as a senior individual contributor, collaborating closely with data, product, marketing, and clinical teams to turn behavioural evidence into measurable impact on patient outcomes and operational performance. You will be execution focused and turn insights into outcomes so if you are hands‑on and want to see real world impact, this might be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead behavioural insight initiatives across patient, clinical, and pharmacy journeys, embedding behavioural science into communications, service design, and digital touchpoints.
  • Design, run, and evaluate experiments and interventions (e.g. A/B tests, RCTs, field trials) to identify what drives meaningful changes in behaviour and outcomes.
  • Translate behavioural evidence into actionable recommendations, shaping product features, messaging, and processes across teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data analysts, product managers, clinicians, and marketers to integrate behavioural thinking into business decisions.
  • Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to generate robust insights into patient and internal behaviours.
  • Develop frameworks and tools to help teams design for behaviour change and measure intervention effectiveness.
  • Act as the organisation’s behavioural science expert, representing behavioural insights in cross-team discussions, strategy sessions, and product reviews and how they relate to commercial outcomes.
  • Be a Business Partner to identify new opportunities that can leverage consumer insights into growth.

What We’re Looking For

  • Deep expertise in behavioural science, psychology, or behavioural economics, with proven experience applying insights in real‑world contexts (healthcare or healthtech preferred).
  • Demonstrable experience designing and evaluating behavioural interventions using experimental and data‑driven methods, focussed on growth, revenue and retention.
  • Excellent communicator — able to make behavioural evidence clear, persuasive, and actionable for diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable working autonomously as a senior individual contributor, influencing direction and outcomes without direct reports.
  • Hands-on and pragmatic, with the ability to balance scientific rigour and commercial impact.
  • Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in a relevant discipline preferred.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing to 27 then 30 days after 1 & 2 years of service)
  • 5% matched pension
  • Cycle‑to‑work scheme
  • Opportunities for development and growth
  • A dynamic and supportive work environment
