About the roleThe role of the Prescription Coordinator is based onsite at our London office and sits within the wider Operations Team. The position requires a dynamic, adaptable, and patient-centric individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving problems on the go.
As part of this role, you will be responsible for physically transporting prescriptions between our London office and Reading Pharmacy. Therefore, you will need to be comfortable navigating London\’s transport network, handling unexpected delays, and ensuring timely and secure delivery of prescriptions. A monthly travel card will be provided to cover all work-related travel.
Key responsibilities
Transport prescriptions between the London office and Reading Pharmacy, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness
Answering patient queries by telephone and email
Maintain patients\’ electronic health records
Maintaining full and accurate record of prescriptions
Work closely with the pharmacy and clinical teams to ensure smooth dispensing and delivery of medication to patients
Updating patients with any changes in their prescription
Working with partner pharmacies to ensure prescriptions sent externally are delivered and dispensed correctly
Support clinicians working in the service with operational queries
Liaise with product and tech support team on technical issues
Work closely with line manager and wider team on service improvement
Shift based and flexible working maybe required from time to time
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
Min 2 years\’ experience in an administrative, operations, or coordination role; ideally in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm and resourceful when facing travel disruptions, delays, or unexpected challenges
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and empathetic approach to patient interactions
Confident using a variety of digital tools and systems; high level of IT proficiency (experience with electronic health records or CRM systems is advantageous)
Understanding of working within a regulated industry and following policies, procedures, and SOPs
Proactive and dependable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team
Must be comfortable travelling regularly between London and Reading, ensuring secure and timely transport of prescriptions
