Base pay range

Compensation Range: £45K

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive triage of referrals and medical records to determine urgency, risk, and appropriate care pathway.
  • Deliver telephone/video triage using internal policies and best practise to support decision making.
  • Identify exclusions, contraindications and safeguarding concerns and escalate in line with Montu policies and national guidance.
  • Provide accurate and timely record keeping.
  • Signpost internally and externally, escalate and refer internally as required.
  • Lead or contribute to pathway audits, SOP updates, and outcome measurement (e.g., PROMs, time-to-treatment metrics).
  • Support creation of patient education materials and digital triage scripts.
  • Champion clinical governance, incident reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead or contribute to service development for physiotherapists in the company.

Essential

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • HCPC-registered Physiotherapist; member of CSP (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-registration experience with at least 2 at Band 6+ level; strong clinical background.
  • Demonstrable expertise in remote/telephone triage and safety-netting.
  • Advanced clinical reasoning, confident autonomous decision-maker.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate complex info into patient-friendly language.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment (EMRs, telehealth platforms, digital PROMs).
  • Understanding of safeguarding, GDPR, and clinical governance frameworks.

Desirable

  • Experience in pain management services, cannabis-based medicinal products, or other adjunctive therapies.
  • Prior work within a start-up/scale-up or busy healthcare setting.
  • Experience creating SOPs, audits, or service redesign projects.
