As our Lead Paid Search guru, you'll own paid search performance end to end - not from a distance, but in-platform, every day. This is a fully hands-on role for someone who lives in Google Ads, is driven by results, and finds real satisfaction in building, testing and optimising campaigns themselves.

You'll take full ownership of Google Ads and Microsoft Ads accounts - from strategy and campaign structure through to bid management, ad copy, tracking and reporting, across a six to seven-figure monthly budget. One day you'll be knee-deep in search term reports and bid adjustments; the next you'll be presenting forecasts and performance insight to stakeholders who need clarity, not jargon.

Paid search doesn't sit in isolation, so you'll be the connective tissue between Creative, Analytics, Product and wider Marketing - making sure tracking, messaging and landing pages all work together to hit the numbers. You'll also work closely with our Google account management team and counterparts across our Australian business, sharing insight and aligning strategy across markets. You'll constantly be testing what's next: new formats, new automation, new platform features, always looking for the edge that keeps performance ahead of the curve.

We're looking for someone who combines deep platform expertise with real data fluency - someone equally comfortable building a budget forecast as they are troubleshooting a broken conversion tag. As we grow internationally, experience across multilingual or international accounts is a genuine advantage, though what matters most is your ability to turn performance data into decisions, and decisions into results.

What will you be doing?

  • Own end-to-end paid search strategy and execution across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, from account structure and keyword research to bid management, DemGen strategy and ad copy.
  • Live in-platform daily - building campaigns, reviewing search term reports, running A/B tests and troubleshooting issues in real time.
  • Own budget forecasting and pacing, and build stakeholder-ready reporting that turns GA4 and Bing/Google Ads data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Take ownership of tracking and attribution - hands-on with Google Tag Manager, data layer debugging and custom tracking setups.
  • Be first to test and adopt new Google Ads features and automation, from AI bidding to Performance Max and feed-based campaigns.
  • Work closely with Creative, Analytics and wider Marketing teams to align messaging, tracking and landing pages behind campaign goals.
  • Collaborate with our Google account management team to unlock platform support, betas and strategic input.
  • Align and share learnings with paid search counterparts in our Australian business to strengthen strategy across markets.
  • Present performance, forecasts and recommendations clearly to stakeholders across the business.

What do you need?

  • Proven, hands-on experience managing and scaling paid search campaigns across Google Ads, YouTube and Microsoft Ads, ideally in a fast-paced agency or high-growth client-side environment.
  • Hands-on technical fluency with Google Tag Manager, data layer debugging and custom tracking - able to build and fix conversion tracking yourself, not just read the output.
  • A track record of accurate budget forecasting and pacing, backed by strong GA4 and Google Ads analysis.
  • Comfortable managing and being accountable for a six to seven-figure monthly budget.
  • The ability to turn performance data into a clear, commercial narrative for stakeholders.
  • Strong project management instincts – able to prioritise multiple accounts and campaigns with accountability for results.
  • A bias to action – equally comfortable setting strategy and getting hands-on to deliver it.
  • Bonus points for experience managing international or multilingual paid search, familiarity with feed-based campaigns and AI bidding.

What we offer:

  • Generous Leave: 25 days holiday (rising to 27 after year one and 30 after year three) + usual bank holidays.
  • Pension Matching: Up to 5% employer matching contributions.
  • Flexibility and Wellness: Work-from-home options, cycle-to-work scheme, private healthcare and more.
  • Growth Opportunities: Collaborate across teams and represent Montu at events, with support to grow your skills and impact.
  • Enhanced Maternity & Paternity Leave.
