Role and responsibilities:
- Perform accuracy checks on dispensed medication to ensure compliance with legal, operational, and safety protocols.
- Support the dispensing process, ensuring all medications are verified and accurately prepared for patient delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and orders, and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members, fostering a culture of safety and quality.
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to address patient queries and ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Skills, experience & Qualifications:
- Hold a level 3 NVQ in Pharmacy Services (ACT) or equivalent ACT qualifications
- Be a registered Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Have extensive experience in a pharmacy setting with a proven track record in accuracy checking.
- Have strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, policies, and standard procedures.
- Have excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
