You will be responsible for supervising and managing the dispensing of controlled drug prescriptions for medicinal cannabis, ensuring compliance with stringent regulations, and delivering outstanding patient care. This role requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual who is committed to excellence in pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities- Clinically check prescriptions for controlled drug prescriptions for medicinal cannabis
- Ensure timely availability and dispatch of medicines for patients
- Comply with all regulatory requirements for ordering, receiving, storing, and dispensing medicines
- Maintain accurate records in line with GPhC standards
- Provide patient counselling on the safe use of medicines, including specialised equipment
- Offer guidance to prescribers to minimise supply disruptions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure safe and compliant supply chains
- Act as the Responsible Pharmacist, maintaining security and supervising pharmacy staff
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to manage safe prescribing practices
- Maintain electronic health records and implement regulatory changes
- Support governance and operational teams to ensure GPhC and regulatory compliance
- Contribute to the efficient running of pharmacy services through stock monitoring and audits
- UK-qualified, registered Pharmacist with a valid GPhC number
- CPD-accredited medical cannabis education preferred (training provided if necessary)
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience
- Saturdays only
- £60,000 pro rata salary
