At Montu, we're growing fast - and every great employee experience starts long before someone's first day. We're looking for a highly organised, people-focused Compliance & Onboarding Specialist to own the journey from signed contract through to a new joiner's first weeks with us. You'll be responsible for ensuring every employee joins compliantly, on time, and with an exceptional experience, while helping us maintain the high standards expected of a regulated healthcare business. This is a role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments, loves bringing order to complexity, and enjoys being the welcoming face that makes every new starter feel excited to join.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the onboarding journey from signed offer to successful start date, ensuring every new joiner has everything they need while maintaining the highest compliance standards expected in a regulated healthcare environment.
  • Chase and manage all pre-employment documentation, including Right to Work, DBS checks, references and professional registrations, ensuring nothing delays a start date.
  • Confidently follow up with candidates, hiring managers and internal teams to keep onboarding moving - you're comfortable reminding busy people and know how to get things done.
  • Coordinate multiple onboarding schedules each month, often welcoming large cohorts of new employees across different departments.
  • Deliver engaging induction sessions and be the friendly face that welcomes every new joiner to Montu.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers, IT, Payroll, Facilities and Compliance to ensure every new starter is fully set up before day one.
  • Maintain accurate employee records across our HR systems, ensuring documentation is complete, compliant and audit-ready at all times.
  • Spot bottlenecks, improve processes and help us scale our onboarding operation as the business continues to grow.
  • Keep stakeholders updated on onboarding progress, escalating risks early to ensure start dates remain on track.

If you’re a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and loves creating experiences that help people hit the ground running, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience coordinating onboarding, compliance or employee administration within a healthcare or other highly regulated environment.
  • Experience working in a high-growth business where priorities change quickly and no two days are the same.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines without losing attention to detail.
  • Confidence in managing stakeholders and following up on outstanding actions - you aren't afraid to politely chase documentation or keep senior people accountable.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset that keeps things moving without needing constant direction.
  • Excellent communication skills and a warm, approachable style that makes new joiners feel welcome from the moment they accept their offer.
  • High attention to detail and pride in maintaining accurate, compliant records.

If you don’t meet every qualification but believe you have the drive and skills to make an impact, we encourage you to apply. We’re always looking for passionate individuals who are excited to support our mission and thrive in an ever-evolving, high-energy environment.

What we offer:

  • Generous Leave: 25 days holiday (rising to 27 after year one and 30 after year three) + usual bank holidays.
  • Pension Matching: Up to 5% employer matching contributions.
  • Flexibility and Wellness: Work-from-home options, cycle-to-work scheme, private healthcare and more.
  • Growth Opportunities: Collaborate across teams and represent Montu at events, with support to grow your skills and impact.
  • Enhanced Maternity & Paternity Leave.
