We require a skilled Health Care Assistant with training in phlebotomy to assist in the day to day running of our minor operating room and theatre. As one of our team, you will have regular interaction with all our clients and will be expected to maintain the highest standard of professionalism and service.
A minimum of 2 years experience as a health care assistant and phlebotomist either privately or in the NHS is required.
- Our busy dermatology service requires us to undertake several dozen blood tests per week. You will be required to run regular clinics to take bloods and may on occasion be called to undertake an ad hoc test when not busy in theatre/MOPS.
- Support the surgical team in managing the consent process.
- Act as a member of the circulating team assisting with tasks such as documentation, photography (where required), surgical counts, WHO checklist and handling specimens.
- Assist in the preparation of patients for surgery, including where appropriate the safe positioning.
- When not engaged with phlebotomy or theatre/MOPS work, you may be required to assist with the clinic’s aesthetics practice.
- Participate in any training that is deemed necessary for your role.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures and assist, where required, in their further development.
- Enhance full compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Assist the medical director with audits when required.
- Be willing to learn and adhere to the Montrose Brand Standards.
Requirements:
- Be capable of providing the highest standards of expert care.
- Possess excellent English.
- Computer literate.
- Preferred to have a certificate in care.
- Certificate in phlebotomy.
- Fluent English spoken and written.
- Experience using booking software (either in hospitality or healthcare).
- Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
