Part time receptionist at a medical clinic – working: two full days, two Saturdays per month and one half day. Exceptional interpersonal skills required. £21,280 per annum gross for 29 hours per week.

Working hours:

  • Wednesday 09:00-14:00hrs
  • Thursday 09:00-20:00hrs
  • Friday 08:00hrs-18:00hrs
  • Saturday (2 in the month) 10:00hrs-17:00hrs

We are a skin and aesthetics clinic based in prime central London. We are looking for a receptionist who will personify our professional, friendly, and proactive company. As our receptionist you will be our patient’s first touch point when they arrive at the clinic.

Main responsibilities:

  • To welcome patients to the clinic
  • To register them on arrival, including ensuring that any consent forms have been completed
  • To seat them in our waiting room and to offer them appropriate refreshments – including making tea and coffee; and clearing up after
  • To take payment from patients on the completion of treatments, sell any take home products and book any further appointments
  • Prepare the clinic at the start of the day and/or close the clinic at the end of the day depending on shift – this includes turning lights on, preparing coffee machine etc
  • Wash and clean patient plates and glasses as required
  • Inventory and monitoring of the doctor’s rooms to ensure they are always fully stocked with bins checked
  • To monitor social media and review websites and to provide appropriate replies as directed by the clinic manager/clinic policies
  • To monitor the state of the waiting room and patient lavatories and to ensure that they always remain clean and tidy
  • From time to time you will need to undertake some more general cleaning but the clinic employs a professional cleaning team
  • Monitor the state of the garden and liaise with the clinic manager/cleaning team (as directed) to ensure that brand standards are always maintained
  • Undertake appropriate Health and Safety jobs including (but not limited to) placing slip warnings in the courtyard during wet weather
  • Monitor the fireplaces, add wood when required, ensure fire curtains are kept closed and conduct checks every 20 minutes to ensure efficient burning without smoke and no flying embers
  • Co-ordinate orders such as groceries and laundry as directed by the management team
  • Act as last line of response on telephone calls/whatsapp messages
  • Escort patients to their treatment rooms when required
  • Such other jobs as may be reasonably required of a receptionist

Candidate requirements:

  • Fluent English spoken and written
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Experience using booking software (either in hospitality or healthcare)
  • Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Self-motivated
  • GCSE (or equivalent) grades B or higher in Mathematics and English (language)
  • Previous work at a high level within the hospitality industry is preferred – members’ clubs, top hotels and restaurants
  • No prior knowledge of working in a medical clinic is required
