About our client

Our client, a European leading private equity firm, is currently looking to hire a HR Business Partner to be based in their London office. The firm focuses on investing globally and currently invests through two main strategies across multiple industries with a long-standing track record of success. Due to recent growth of the team and the success of the people function, they are now looking to hire an additional HR team member to partner with the London team as well as multiple groups of colleagues across the firm's European based offices.

As the HR Business Partner, you will work as part of a small but very high performing HR function. The role encompasses a wide range of HR activities, requiring both a strategic and hands-on approach, partnering with all levels of stakeholders. This is a brand-new role for the organisation and you will be given the autonomy to mould and develop it as you see fit.

What the job involves

  • Partner with defined employee groups as the main HR contact
  • Monitor staff sentiment and integrate feedback into talent initiatives
  • Support business team managers with daily HR matters and HR cycle milestones
  • Management of sensitive or difficult conversations with all levels of employees
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes when needed, coordinating with all stakeholders
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of UK employment law and HR practices
  • Lead on talent management and people development focused projects
  • Provide operational and administrative HR support when needed

Who we are looking for

  • Previous HRBP experience within the financial or professional services space
  • Knowledge and understanding of private equity would be advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law
  • Proven project management experience
  • A strong communicator with previous exposure to senior stakeholders
  • Agile and hands-on approach to HR
