We’re working with a global investment-backed company that manages billions in transport assets—and they’re on the lookout for a finance paralegal to join one of their portfolio businesses. The team is small, collaborative, and works on high-value ship finance and vessel management matters with a distinctly international flavour.
This is a legal role that goes beyond document review. You’ll get stuck into the full life cycle of a deal: from the moment finance is arranged to the registration of the vessel, and everything in between. You’ll liaise with lenders’ lawyers, help coordinate ship deliveries, manage conditions precedent, and ensure the paperwork that underpins major transactions is watertight.
You’ll also assist on confidentiality agreements, covenant compliance certificates, insurance documentation, and the ongoing management of a legal and commercial document database. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with internal teams from treasury to tech to legal ops—gathering data, arranging execution, and playing a key role in keeping everything moving smoothly.
Some knowledge of ship finance would be ideal, but this client values sharpness, clarity of thought, and genuine interest over specialist experience. If you’re currently working as a paralegal in finance or commercial law, and you’re curious about something a little different, this is a rare chance to take your skills in a new direction. For the right candidate, there’s also a possible route to qualification.
