Overview
We are working with a highly respected international law firm to find a Talent Development Manager to join their Corporate group in London. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced lawyer to step away from the traditional path and take on a role embedded at the heart of one of the firm\’s busiest and most high-performing departments.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with partners, associates, and trainees to manage workflow, career development, performance, training, and resourcing.
- Act as a hybrid of HR business partnering and team leadership, with a focus on emotional intelligence, commercial awareness, and people development.
- Shape resourcing, advise on progression, oversee performance reviews, and work on training and wellbeing initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, influence decision-making, and handle complex, people-driven issues with authority and empathy.
What we are looking for
- A qualified lawyer (5+ PQE) with experience in a Corporate or transactional team.
- Ability to hold their own with senior partners and calmly manage difficult conversations.
- Proactive, strategic, and invested in mentoring, development, and the human side of law.
- Ideally, experience in a fast-paced, international firm and understanding of its demands.
